Momiji no Sato (Maple Country)
The streets and backroads of Oku-Yugawara, “the town colored by the four seasons,” are known for the stunning beauty of picturesque autumn foliage.
The autumn foliage season in Yugawara is generally from mid-November through early December.

| Clothes & belongings | Wear clothes that are easy to move in, a cap or hat, and sports shoes. Please bring a bento (boxed lunch), water bottle, rainwear, mat or something to sit on, towel, health insurance card, and anything else you may need. |

| If you take a bus | Take the bus for Oku-Yugawara/Fudodaki from Yugawara Station, and get off at Oku-Yugawara Iriguchi Bus Stop or Oku-Yugawara Bus Stop, the last stop (about a 20-minute ride). |

| To Momiji no Sato | Take the bus for Oku-Yugawara/Fudodaki from Yugawara Station, and get off at Oku-Yugawara Iriguchi Bus Stop (the next to last stop, about a 20-minute ride). It is about a 40-minute walk to Ikemine Bridge. (Momiji no Sato is located along the Ikemine Hiking Course. The course itself is not a tough course. You cannot get to Momiji no Sato by car.)※If the Ikemine Hiking Course is too difficult, we recommend getting off the bus at the last stop, Oku-Yugawara, and walking up the gently paved slope along the road in the direction of the tea house. This route, too, will provide a very beautiful view with plenty of momiji leaves. |
