Pottery Studio Kouzangama
Lecturer: Ceramist Mr. Hideo Suzuki
You can make your own original teacup, vase, tea set, or other pottery at this studio, which features a climbing kiln and a picturesque overlook of Sagami Bay.
The raw materials used are iron-rich clay from the valleys of Yugawara, mikan orange ashes, and more. The deep brown texture of the clay is simple and unassuming, and adds charm to flowers or helps accentuate other dishes.

Do-Tougeikan
Hands-on pottery making at Do-Tougeikan is a two-hour casual course, in which you can experience creating ceramic art in a relaxed environment.

Hands-on Pottery & Pottery Class - Goens
The production of pottery is an interesting experience, which reminds you of a sensation you tend to forget in your everyday life. In the process of giving form to what you’ve envisioned in your mind, you can connect with your work through the feel of the clay in your hands. Children, elderly people, and even beginners can experience pottery making without worry, as we explain how to make it with utmost care. Explanations in English to visitors from overseas are available as well. Why don’t you try making your own original vessel using a potter’s wheel? The pigment of finishing paint can be chosen from 16 different kinds. Please feel free to join us.
