After making a study tour of the process of stencil dyeing under the guidance of Mr. Masahiko Takada, whose master is the late Kei Serizawa, a living national treasure in stencil dyeing, you will make a framed picture. Design motifs include a mandarin orange, Yugawara’s symbol, a camellia, a Japanese white-eye or others, Finish by coloring the pattern made of washi (traditional Japanese paper) using pigments.
It is absolutely necessary to make a reservation if you wish to experience pottery making, but you can freely take a tour of the studio and other areas.
