Mt. Taikan derives its name from Yokoyama Taikan, a master of modern Japanese art who liked to paint Mt. Fuji. With a summit altitude of 1,011 meters, it provides a breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji and its surroundings.
As well, the roads leading to the main overlook points are a favorite among car and motorcycle enthusiasts, as their snaking twists and curves make for an enjoyable drive with spectacular mountain scenery.
