There are no locations for exchanging currency in or around Yugawara Town.
Please make sure to have Japanese currency on-hand before your arrival.

Access to cash via credit card is available at ATMs in 7-Eleven stores in Yugawara Town.

Post office

Yugawara Town has four post offices.
Services such as sending goods and letters overseas are available, but foreign currencies cannot be exchanged into Japanese yen at any of the locations.

What to do if a natural disaster occurs

In the case of an earthquake or tsunami, if you are exposed to a life-threatening situation, try to remain calm and ensure your own safety before assisting others.
If a strong earthquake occurs, take shelter in a large open space, like an elementary school or a park.
If you are in your place of lodging, take shelter by following the staff's instructions.
A tsunami is likely to occur after an earthquake strikes in or near the ocean, so areas near the sea or at low elevations are very dangerous. Seek refuge in the highest possible place.
Food, drinking water, and other goods will be delivered to shelters.

Wi-Fi service

If you enter the ID and password printed on the “Free Wi-Fi Card,” distributed at the Tourist Information Center in front of Yugawara Station, you can use Wi-Fi for free at designated locations for two weeks.

The card is also distributed at “Onsen-ba Burari Oyasumi-dokoro” (a free resting place), day-use onsen facility “Kogome no Yu,” Yugawara Art Museum, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
